Schwab and TD Ameritrade are becoming one.
This means, your TD Ameritrade accounts are moving to Schwab:
Sept. 2-4, 2023
Together, we can make this a smooth transition.
As always, we’re here for you to help make sure your accounts are set up properly.
Please read through all the communication you receive from Beacon and Schwab and follow the action steps provided.
If you still have questions or need assistance with the action steps, please contact our office. Email or Call (615) 224-9794
The Most Important Information You Need to Know:
- You should be receiving notices from Schwab about your accounts. This will include the following:
- New account numbers
- Instructions on creating your Schwab online credentials
- New account agreements
- Regulatory disclosures
- This transition actually started a few years ago. Charles Schwab purchased TD Ameritrade back in 2020, and that movement of funds is just now taking place this weekend, starting September 1st and finishing September 5th.
- You will no longer have access to advisorclient.com or the mobile app after September 1st.
- From September 2-4th, there will be a brief blackout period, meaning your accounts will not be able to be viewed while the transition is taking place.
- On September 5th, you should be able to log into your new portal at Schwab and see your investment accounts and positions there. Here is the link you will need on September 5th to access your Schwab Accounts.
- This transition does not equal a change to your investment positions. It’s simply moving from one custodian to another.
- There is no change in our working relationship. Your investment management agreement with us is written such that Beacon Capital Management is managing your accounts, not TD Ameritrade, not Schwab. Those are simply the platforms by which the assets are held. We’re the ones managing your accounts, and that’s not going to change with this transition.
